Prices for "decompression tables" in India cover everything from simple traction couches to fully programmed robotic systems, so two quotations can differ widely. We quote each table to its configuration, ex-works from our factory in Surat, rather than publishing a price list, and this guide explains what sits behind any quote you receive, ours or anyone else's.
What you are paying for
1. Drive and control
The biggest difference is between a table where the practitioner positions the patient by hand and one where every movement is powered and programmed.
A practitioner-positioned table, such as our Manual Spinal Decompression Table, uses an electric actuator for traction while lateral flexion and rotation are set by hand.
A robotic table, such as our Automatic Robotic Spinal Flexion Decompression Table, drives decompression, oscillation, flexion, lateral flexion and axial rotation with motors, controlled from a touch-screen PLC/HMI with live charts.
More motors, sensors and control software mean more cost, and also more repeatable sessions. The manual vs robotic guide explains which suits which clinic.
2. Range of movements
Traction alone is the simplest case. Each added movement (flexion, lateral flexion, axial rotation, oscillation) and each treated region (lumbar, cervical) adds mechanism and programming. Check exactly which movements are powered in the configuration you are quoted.
3. Frame, upholstery and height adjustment
A steel frame with a powder-coated finish, a stated load rating (ours is 200 kg), double-layer foam, and powered or hydraulic height adjustment all add material and labour. So do custom colours and branding.
4. Safety and electronics
Emergency stop, protection against high and low voltage, and belts for secure patient positioning are part of a properly built powered table. Ask what is included.
5. Support, training and warranty
Operator training, installation support, warranty length and what happens after the warranty all have a cost to the maker. A lower quote sometimes means less of these. Ours include operator training by video call for robotic systems (on-site training on request, charged at the trainer's daily rate plus travel allowance), a one-year warranty on manufacturing defects, lifetime telephone support and spare parts stocked in Surat.
6. Delivery and taxes
Freight to your city or port, packing, insurance and GST (or export documentation) can move the final figure noticeably. Make sure every quote you compare includes the same items.
How to compare two quotations
Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
Exact model and configuration | Movements, regions and controls differ between models with similar names |
Which movements are powered | Hand-set movements cost less but need more practitioner time |
Control system | Touch screen, programs and live display, or manual controls |
Load rating and height range | Tells you who the table is built for |
Warranty terms | Length, what is covered, how claims are handled |
Training and installation | Included, charged, on site or by video |
Spares and after-sales support | Where parts come from and how fast |
Delivery time | Ours is 15 to 30 days for tables and machines |
Freight, packing, insurance, taxes | Whether the figure is ex-works or delivered |
Maker's quality system |
Thinking about the price as cost per session
A decompression table earns its cost back through sessions, so the useful question is often not "how much?" but "how many sessions until it has paid for itself?" Our payback guide includes a calculator where you enter your own quotation and session fee.
